This cable uses the most compatible Prolific PL2303 chipset.
This cable can be used with more devices that the Cypress
or WinChip chipset. This cable also has Linux/Unix drivers.
Cable ships in retail pack with drivers on a CD. Drivers are
included only for Windows 98 / 2000 / XP. Drivers or installation
for other OSes such as MAC, Linux, Unix can be found on the
internet.
Installation - Windows 98 / 2000:
1. Insert drivers CD
2. Plug cable in
3. New hardware dialog comes up
4. Select to search for specific location, select 98_2000 folder
5. -> Driver is installed, the cable will be assigned a COM port
Installation - Windows XP or Server 2003:
1. Insert drivers CD
2. Run Setup ptogram from "XP" folder (same for 2003)
3. Wait for it to finish
4. Plug cable in
5. -> the cable will be assigned a COM port
